Comparing Canada’s Carbon Pricing Policies
As the carbon pricing debate heats up in Canada we are looking at carbon pricing stringency as a way to measure the policy’s effectiveness at driving emissions reductions. More stringent policy creates stronger incentives to drive down GHG emissions. New Ecofiscal research details five different ways to measure the stringency of carbon pricing policy, including two new metrics. During this webinar, Chris Ragan will discuss the metrics and how they apply to the four provinces with carbon pricing (British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec). We will conclude the webinar with a Q&A.
